Build the confidence and skills you need to carry concealed – safely and effectively.
Whether you’re new to defensive shooting or it’s been a while since your last class, this half-day course is designed to give you the solid foundation required to carry a concealed handgun with confidence and competence.
Safety, proficiency, and real-world application are at the core of this training.
Eligibility:
Participants must hold a valid NYS Pistol Permit or have completed the 18-hour NYS Pistol Safety Course with Westchester Firearms Safety or Aim Small Training.
What You’ll Learn
- Legal review of use of force
- Ammo selection for concealed carry
- Drawing from the holster with speed and control
- Immediate action drills for malfunctions
- Improving accuracy and trigger discipline
- Engaging multiple threats
- Tactical movement techniques
What You’ll Need to Bring
- 125 rounds of ammunition
- Holster made for your handgun (IWB holsters accepted if molded and non-collapsing)
- Three magazines total (with two spare magazine carriers recommended)
- Eye and ear protection
- Sturdy pants with belt loops and a strong belt
- Footwear suitable for movement and shooting (no sandals, flip-flops, or gym shorts)
