DESCRIPTION:You must have a valid New York State (or NYC) CCW Permit to attend these classes\nCONNECTICUT NON-RESIDENT CCW CLASS:\nCT requires the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Class. Each of you completed the lecture portion of this class\, but the shooting portion is much longer than the NY Qualification. We also will provide the application paperwork and required passport photos. \nNEW JERSEY NON-RESIDENT CCW CLASS: *see additional notes for this class at the bottom of this page:\nFor the New Jersey Non-Resident CCW Class\, you must bring your own pistol to use\, as mandated by NJ. We believe that clarity and transparency are of the utmost importance with respect to our course requirements. \nBased on the questions we’ve received from past students\, we want to provide some clarity on this course: \n \nNJ’s training standard requires a lecture on safety\, shooting fundamentals and a NJ specific law review. Since our 18-hour students + current pistol permit holders have received the required safety and fundamentals lectures\, we will be completing an approx. 1 hour\, State of New Jersey specific law review. There is no written test. For the live fire qualification portion of the course\, students will be required to: \n\n\nDemonstrate safe and proficient pistol handling throughout; including safe loading\, unloading\, drawing\, malfunction clearance and re-holstering. \n\nDemonstrate the ability to follow ALL instructions and range commands.\nDemonstrate marksmanship skills and score 80% (40 out of 50 rounds) on the course of fire which is 10 rounds (2 strings of 5 rounds) at each of 3 yards\, 5 yards\, 7 yards\, 10 yards\, and 15 yards.\nAt the end of the course of fire\, clear all weapons and holster a safe and empty weapon. \n\nStudents will be given basic explanation of the course of fire. Once the live fire course starts\, no coaching or assistance will be given. This is a qualification that requires more skill from participants than the NY course does.\n \nWhat this means is that if you do not meet the standard for any of the above skills\, you will be disqualified and no passing course certificate will be given. Any and all safety violations will result in the removal of the offending person from the range. There will be no second chances.\n \nThis is a “Go/No Go” exercise. Those who pass WILL receive a certificate that can be submitted to NJ with their application. \n \nWe are advising all participants that if you are NOT prepared to meet these standards to postpone your qualification until you believe you can meet them. If you have concerns about this or additional questions\, please let us know ASAP.\n \nAdditionally\, we want to be clear that each participant is required to apply for the NJ non-resident permit independently of this course. We will provide guidelines for for the NJ application process to all participants.

Since our 18-hour students + current pistol permit holders have received the required safety and fundamentals lectures\, we will be completing an approx. 1 hour\, State of New Jersey specific law review. There is no written test. For the live fire qualification portion of the course\, students will be required to: \n\n\nDemonstrate safe and proficient pistol handling throughout; including safe loading\, unloading\, drawing\, malfunction clearance and re-holstering. \n\nDemonstrate the ability to follow ALL instructions and range commands.\nDemonstrate marksmanship skills and score 80% (40 out of 50 rounds) on the course of fire which is 10 rounds (2 strings of 5 rounds) at each of 3 yards\, 5 yards\, 7 yards\, 10 yards\, and 15 yards.\nAt the end of the course of fire\, clear all weapons and holster a safe and empty weapon. \n\nStudents will be given basic explanation of the course of fire. Once the live fire course starts\, no coaching or assistance will be given. This is a qualification that requires more skill from participants than the NY course does.\n \nWhat this means is that if you do not meet the standard for any of the above skills\, you will be disqualified and no passing course certificate will be given. Any and all safety violations will result in the removal of the offending person from the range. There will be no second chances.\n \nThis is a “Go/No Go” exercise. Those who pass WILL receive a certificate that can be submitted to NJ with their application. \n \nWe are advising all participants that if you are NOT prepared to meet these standards to postpone your qualification until you believe you can meet them. Each of you completed the lecture portion of this class\, but the shooting portion is much longer than the NY Qualification. We also will provide the application paperwork and required passport photos. \nNEW JERSEY NON-RESIDENT CCW CLASS: *see additional notes for this class at the bottom of this page:\nFor the New Jersey Non-Resident CCW Class\, you must bring your own pistol to use\, as mandated by NJ. We believe that clarity and transparency are of the utmost importance with respect to our course requirements. \nBased on the questions we’ve received from past students\, we want to provide some clarity on this course: \n \nNJ’s training standard requires a lecture on safety\, shooting fundamentals and a NJ specific law review. Since our 18-hour students + current pistol permit holders have received the required safety and fundamentals lectures\, we will be completing an approx. 1 hour\, State of New Jersey specific law review. There is no written test. For the live fire qualification portion of the course\, students will be required to: \n\n\nDemonstrate safe and proficient pistol handling throughout; including safe loading\, unloading\, drawing\, malfunction clearance and re-holstering. \n\nDemonstrate the ability to follow ALL instructions and range commands.\nDemonstrate marksmanship skills and score 80% (40 out of 50 rounds) on the course of fire which is 10 rounds (2 strings of 5 rounds) at each of 3 yards\, 5 yards\, 7 yards\, 10 yards\, and 15 yards.\nAt the end of the course of fire\, clear all weapons and holster a safe and empty weapon. \n\nStudents will be given basic explanation of the course of fire. Once the live fire course starts\, no coaching or assistance will be given. This is a qualification that requires more skill from participants than the NY course does.\n \nWhat this means is that if you do not meet the standard for any of the above skills\, you will be disqualified and no passing course certificate will be given. Any and all safety violations will result in the removal of the offending person from the range. There will be no second chances.\n \nThis is a “Go/No Go” exercise. Those who pass WILL receive a certificate that can be submitted to NJ with their application. \n \nWe are advising all participants that if you are NOT prepared to meet these standards to postpone your qualification until you believe you can meet them. If you have concerns about this or additional questions\, please let us know ASAP.\n \nAdditionally\, we want to be clear that each participant is required to apply for the NJ non-resident permit independently of this course. We will provide guidelines for for the NJ application process to all participants.

DESCRIPTION:You must have a valid New York State (or NYC) CCW Permit to attend these classes\nCONNECTICUT NON-RESIDENT CCW CLASS:\nCT requires the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Class. Each of you completed the lecture portion of this class\, but the shooting portion is much longer than the NY Qualification. We also will provide the application paperwork and required passport photos. \nNEW JERSEY NON-RESIDENT CCW CLASS: *see additional notes for this class at the bottom of this page:\nFor the New Jersey Non-Resident CCW Class\, you must bring your own pistol to use\, as mandated by NJ. This course also exceeds Florida’s requirements. \nFor EACH class\, students will need:\n\n\n\n50 rounds of ammo\n\n\nAppropriate safety and range gear (eye and ear protection)\n\n\nHolster that is made for your handgun*\n(*Inside the waistband holsters are acceptable if they are molded and do not collapse)\n\n\nSpare handgun magazines if you have them\n\n\nMagazine belt carriers are preferred\n\n\nPants with belt loops and a sturdy belt\n\n\nAppropriate footwear for walking\, running\, and movement\n\n\nCourse fee(s) in cash\n\n\n\n9×19 target ammo will be available for purchase per class: $15 per box of 50 rounds \n$180 Course Tuition\nRegister with a $40.00 Deposit (below). We believe that clarity and transparency are of the utmost importance with respect to our course requirements. \nBased on the questions we’ve received from past students\, we want to provide some clarity on this course: \n \nNJ’s training standard requires a lecture on safety\, shooting fundamentals and a NJ specific law review. Since our 18-hour students + current pistol permit holders have received the required safety and fundamentals lectures\, we will be completing an approx. 1 hour\, State of New Jersey specific law review. There is no written test. For the live fire qualification portion of the course\, students will be required to: \n\n\nDemonstrate safe and proficient pistol handling throughout; including safe loading\, unloading\, drawing\, malfunction clearance and re-holstering. \n\nDemonstrate the ability to follow ALL instructions and range commands.\nDemonstrate marksmanship skills and score 80% (40 out of 50 rounds) on the course of fire which is 10 rounds (2 strings of 5 rounds) at each of 3 yards\, 5 yards\, 7 yards\, 10 yards\, and 15 yards.\nAt the end of the course of fire\, clear all weapons and holster a safe and empty weapon. \n\nStudents will be given basic explanation of the course of fire. Once the live fire course starts\, no coaching or assistance will be given. This is a qualification that requires more skill from participants than the NY course does.\n \nWhat this means is that if you do not meet the standard for any of the above skills\, you will be disqualified and no passing course certificate will be given. Any and all safety violations will result in the removal of the offending person from the range. There will be no second chances.\n \nThis is a “Go/No Go” exercise. Those who pass WILL receive a certificate that can be submitted to NJ with their application. \n \nWe are advising all participants that if you are NOT prepared to meet these standards to postpone your qualification until you believe you can meet them. If you have concerns about this or additional questions\, please let us know ASAP.\n \nAdditionally\, we want to be clear that each participant is required to apply for the NJ non-resident permit independently of this course. We will provide guidelines for for the NJ application process to all participants.
