Firearms Safety
Westchester Firearms Safety is committed to helping our students SAFELY and responsibly exercise their right to defend themselves and their families. We offer NY State Pistol Permit Safety Classes, Utah Multi-State Concealed Firearms Permit Classes and live fire range training.
We are here to help beginners as well as advanced shooters increase their knowledge and skills. Our exceptional training programs are designed to maximize each student’s potential. We are based in Westchester County, NY and specialize in Defensive/CCW Handgun, Home Defense Shotgun and Tactical Rifle Training.
We provide training for responsible civilians that meets or exceeds Law Enforcement and Military standards.
Lead Instructor
Joe Martini
Joe grew up in Brooklyn and moved to Westchester in 1999. He’s been shooting for more than 20 years and teaching people the defensive use of firearms for ~15 years. In 2020 he founded Westchester Firearms Safety to help law-abiding citizens take responsibility for their own safety and become confident, capable gun owners who understand the law, from first-time permit applicants to experienced shooters looking to sharpen their skills.
Joe has put in serious time as a student, too. He’s a distinguished graduate of Front Sight’s 4-Day Defensive Handgun, 2-Day Advanced Tactical Handgun, and 4-Day Practical Rifle courses, and he completed Red Dot Sight Fundamentals with Scott Jedlinski at Modern Samurai Project. He works comfortably across a range of platforms, including the 1911/2011, Glock, M&P, H&K, Benelli M4/Super 90, Beretta 1301, Remington 870, Mossberg 500/590, and AR-pattern rifles.
He thinks the best instruction is patient and honest, and he holds himself to the same standards he sets for his students.
