Make the fundamentals automatic

Owning a handgun and being able to run one under pressure are two different things. This full-day course bridges that gap — taking you past marksmanship and into the skills that actually decide a defensive encounter: drawing from concealment, reloading when it counts, and clearing a malfunction without thinking about it.

It’s the natural next step after our 18-Hour Class. You’ll spend the day on your feet and on the gun, with hands-on instruction and enough repetition to make the fundamentals automatic.

You’ll leave able to run your handgun with speed, control, and confidence when it isn’t easy.

What You’ll Work On:

✅ Safe handling & storage — the foundation everything else rests on
✅ Refining the fundamentals — grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control
✅ Drawing from concealment — and re-holstering efficiently and safely
✅ Tactical & emergency reloads — under pressure, not at rest
✅ Engaging multiple targets — efficiently and accurately
✅ Malfunction management — identify and clear stoppages fast
✅ Shooting under stress — timed proficiency drills
✅ Legal awareness & defensive mindset — the responsibility that comes with carrying

The day places particular emphasis on drawing from concealment, emergency reloads, and malfunction drills — the three things most likely to fail you when it matters.

Who Can Attend: This course requires either a valid New York State pistol permit, or completion of the 18-Hour Class with Westchester Firearms Safety or Aim Small Instruction.

Essential Gear:

✅ Handgun — reliable striker-fired, DA/SA, or 2011-style pistol
✅ 250 rounds of ammunition
✅ A secure, molded holster (IWB accepted if it retains its shape)
✅ 3 handgun magazines (2 spares)
✅ Pants with belt loops & a sturdy belt
✅ Eye & ear protection — we have extras if you need them

Optional but Recommended:

🔹 Belt-mounted mag carriers — faster, cleaner reloads
🔹 Athletic footwear suitable for movement — no flip-flops, sandals, or gym shorts

No handgun? No problem. Loaner handguns are available at no charge — you simply purchase your ammunition from us. Ammo for the class is $75 for 9mm (250 rounds) or $35 for .22. If you’re bringing your own handgun, ammo is available at the same price, or $15 per box of 50 rounds.

Deposits are NOT refundable. You can reschedule a class with 72 hours’ notice. A registration can be rescheduled up to 2 times. If a 3rd reschedule is requested, payment in full will be required to secure a seat, and no further reschedules will be possible.
