July 19 @ 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
The shotgun is one of the most effective defensive firearms you can own — but it only delivers if you can run it under pressure. It takes a skill set all its own, one that handgun and rifle training simply don’t cover.
This full-day course takes you past the fundamentals and into what actually matters when it counts: threats that move. Real encounters don’t stand still, so you won’t either. You’ll track and engage moving targets while loading, reloading, and manipulating your shotgun under realistic, dynamic conditions — the kind of hands-on repetition that builds genuine confidence.
You’ll walk away able to run a defensive shotgun the way a real situation demands: fast, controlled, and sure of yourself.
For this course, you’ll need the following equipment:
Essential Gear:
✅ Shotgun – A 12 or 20-gauge pump-action or semi-auto shotgun (e.g., Remington 870, Mossberg 500, Benelli M4, Beretta 1301)
✅ Ammunition – 150-200 rounds of birdshot, 30 rounds of buckshot, and 20 rounds of slugs (Ammo for the class can be purchased from us.)
✅ Eye & Ear Protection – ANSI-rated shooting glasses and electronic or passive hearing protection (we do have extras if you need them)
✅ Dump Pouch or Shotshell Holder – To carry extra shells
Optional but Recommended Gear:
🔹 Shotgun Sling – A two-point sling is preferred for transitioning and retention (highly recommended)
🔹 Shell Carrier/Side Saddle – For quick reloads (stock-mounted, receiver-mounted, or belt options)
🔹 Appropriate footwear for outdoor walking, running, and movement – no sandals, flip flops, etc.
🔹 Hat & Long Sleeves – Helps with sun and debris protection
